Corpse

Whispered inclination

Vulnerable heart

Zombie mind

Phantom will

Trap is laid, snare is set

Unsuspecting feet

Hidden hands, lurking darkness

Brief, mercurial susurration

Silence

The deed is done

Lucid golden aspirations

Lilting silver snowflake dreams

Bloodstains of a slivered conscience

Lust and greed arrest heart screams

Steel trap snap

Asphyxiating soul

Clawing, clutching, clinging–

Closing…

Inner death, outer life
